Guide Weld & Heatâ„¢ Meets The New Standard
Weld & Heatâ„¢ is designed to meet the new standard for thermal protection. EN 407:2020 is the new standard for welding gloves and replaces EN 407:2004. The update covers test methods, new pictograms and requirements, among others:
Gloves must meet at least level 1 abrasion resistance to be EN 407:2020 certified.
A new minimum glove length (varying according to size) to protect against molten metal splashes (small splashes in large quantities).
Performance results in all tests will be based on the lowest individual result reported and not the average.
Gloves with level 3 or 4 flame protection or large quantities of molten metal must be removable within three seconds.
